FC Sete beat L'Olympique de Marseille 2-1 to win the Coupe de France.
Sete also secured the championnat de France de football 1933-1934, becoming the first team in French football to do the double.
The feat is celebrated in the club's present name- FC Sète 34.
There was an international flavour to the successful squad. Joseph Hillier was English, Marcel Bukovi (originally Marton Bukovi) and Istvan Lukacs were Hungarian. Club captain Yvan Bek came from Yugoslavia and winger Ali Benouna was Algerian.
Istvan Lukacs scored both Sete's goals in the cup final and was also the leading scorer in the league with 28 goals
